tim walker

Give Tim Walker a camera and some random props and the man will give you something striking.
Mind. Blown.

Spring in a photograph

In love with these photographs.
Who knew something so simple could be so beautiful?
Feels like spring *wink

color drop

Looking back through my posts, it seems I have a mild obsession with photographs that have been manipulated and added to with another medium (ie string, paint, paper). What can I say? I guess I just enjoy the stuff. Turns out I have a bunch of artwork on my walls that is similar. Maybe I need to make some of my own...

Anyway these are Sebastian Bremer's work. Pretty great stuff. I kind of feel that if Heidi of Switzerland got ahold of a 1970's Holga and some watercolors, this is what you'd get.
Photos added in honor of the Kansas City Color Run, which as it turns out sold out already before I could get myself entered. *tear

Here's to hoping it reopens!

one might think it's counter productive...

...to work out hard this morning (I'm talking crazzzy hard) and follow that workout up with a slice of pizza for breakfast.

But it's not.
As long as we're breaking even in terms of calories it's allllll fair game.

Anyway, aren't  these sketchy drawings + floral photographs  by Kari Herer great?
She does all kinds of photography but there is something about her drawings - they just have a great sense of personality and character to them.

Also, remember this post? I have yet to break my budget (I realize this makes it sound like I was possibly planning on breaking it with that last statement but, I'm not) Let me tell you, I have virtual shopping carts full of stuff all over this here internets and I'm not buying any of it. Go me.

string + photography

I've been seein' a lot of string art + photography around lately...having that one added element changes the photograph from something simple to something complex & interesting. It's like magic.

Expired

Color + texture

Photos were taken with expired Polaroid time zero film.
How great are these? The colors and texture kind of give a dream like feel...

cannelle et vanille

Serious love for this blog. Such beautiful colors in the photographs. It all just feels so fresh! I could spend hours upon hours flipping through Cannelle et Vanille. And so many healthy recipes to choose from! Looking through these helps me say goodbye junk food that's not nearly as beautiful, and hellooooo health foods.

LOU MORA

Smoke cloud w/ stunning colors
I've been seeing a lot of this type of smoke cloud installation art floating around the interwebs as of late & have been loving it
The colors and smokiness just give out a magical feeling, intriguing yet bittersweet because it's so fleeting.
This is her sneak peak photo for an upcoming project for this artist.
I can't wait to see the rest

gosh dangit, i just loveeeee it.
