Pastels

Everyday just takes me a little bit closer to spring.

My boyfriend got me a bike bell for little blue for Valentine's day. How can I just sit here and stare at this cute little thing for the remainder of winter? And it's so nice outside today. And all I've been able to ride has been the old stationary bike made circa 1992 in my basement, where all the godzilla-like spiders and ghosts that randomly turn on paper shredders for no good reason hang out. And this little bell just needs to be put on my bike and used. Needs. 

What ever shall I do??

Denim on denim

Lately I've been noticing lots of denim on denim all over the city. Its perfect when you have two different shades of non-cheap looking, worn in denims. I love this guys rolled cuffs too.

I love this lady

Just read an Iris Apfel interview over at Into The Gloss not too long ago. I love this lady. She's a] hilarious and b] just full of life even at the good ol' age of ninety. When I'm that old I want to have the same happiness and joy for life still, still be in love with the culture that surrounds me, and still dressing myself the way I want to regardless of age.

Even outside of her bold and bright personal style, her home is equally as interesting. The interior is made up of a colorful collection of styles of artwork, furniture, etc. I just love it.

I've always had this thing where I've been slightly obsessed with what I like to call "highlighter colors". They just always catch my eye & I always keep coming back to em.

I've always loved kind of kooky out-there fashion pieces such as these green velvet jackets. You almost have to have a certain personality to pull em' off but if you can get away with it, man, you're cool in my book.

I like the mix of colors within these 2 photographs. Harsh, bold red contrasting with the soft peaches and airy teals. Good combo if I do say so myself.

Dark & edgy.

The dress in the last picture reminds me of the little bangled purses every girl in the country had circa 1998. Only, this version on bangles is not nearly as tacky haha...

I really like the sharp angles the model is creating with her arms & legs, and the angles within the negative space of the frame too.
