tomorrow is friday

...but my Friday is actually today if we are talking in terms of school here.

This week has consisted of:

01 // paint splotches on card board
02 // something that made me laugh
03 // waking up to this every morning: where do all the socks go?! and chapsticks? and bobby pins for that matter?
04 // lame paint sketches to get into the zone

weekend

This weekend was quiteeeee the adventure and a darned good one at that. The beau took me to get a massage Saturday afternoon (first. time. EVER. And officially addicted) followed by an evening of tapas (also Karen + Sangria = a giddy, good time) at La Bodega.

Just telling my family our evening plans turned into a little adventure on its own:
"We're going to get tapas, byeee!"
"You're going to get topless?! Ohh, Karen."
"Yes mom, we're going to get topless. No! Tah-pahs."

She's a keeper, that one. Yeesh.

Sunday was spent at home with the whole family over for a late lunch as my Aunt and Uncle from Virginia were in town.

The day consisted of:
eating jambalaya,
meeting Grandma's new boyfriend, Wayne,
Grandma and Wayne sneaking out to "smoke cigarettes" ie. have makeout sessions on the porch,
tales of eating 2 lbs. of Andes mints and the aftermath of such decisions,
mom almost catching herself on fire by candle flame,
and it turns out we won the lottery (and used our winnings to buy ice cream)

THIS WEEKEND

    

I spent the weekend working on graphic design homework & finding inspiration for that homework;
enjoyed flipping through The Selby book and looking at all the different quirky interiors,
found a little neon bunny from one of my favorite blogs,
and went to see a movie with some good friends.
oh! and i rearranged my cozy little nook. My bed is now right by a window, and I swear when i woke up this morning I saw little buds on the tree out front. Whattt?!?!

Last night I got to spend w. my guy watchin' movies & cuddlin'. He's good to have around for that last thing...As he is especially talented when it comes to cuddling skills.

And as for this morning, well, this morning started off right with a giant bowl of fruit + french vanilla black tea. That's a good start for a Monday morning if I do say so myself.
